How the rankings work

  • Players who finish in the top 20 of the Annual June Champs receive points relative to their finishing position i.e. 1st places receives 20 points, 20th place receives 1 point.
  • Players who finish in the top 10 of any other Le Chevalier tournament, either online or OTB receive points relative to their finishing position i.e. 1st places receives 10 points, 10th place receives 1 point.

Annual Prize 

  • The top ranked player on May 30 each year, just prior to the June Champs, will be announced as the annual Le Chevalier Number 1 Player for that period i.e. 2021/22.
  • The top ranked player on May 30 will automatically qualify for the June Champs with a free entry as well as be invited as a guest of honour to the annual Chess Weekend in July and receive a personalised Le Chevalier hoodie with their name and title printed on it.
