If it hadn’t been for Viernheim’s poor start to the season, the Bundesliga final in Deggendorf could have been a real thriller. But Düsseldorf won this year’s Bundesliga with one round to spare, and the 4-4 draw between Düsseldorf and Viernheim in the final round was nothing to write home about. Düsseldorfer SK are the new German team champions. Mülheim Nord and Bad Mergenheim were relegated.
