The FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship is taking place on 13-15 February at the Weissenhaus resort in Germany. Eight players, including Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana, have qualified through the 2025 Grand Slam Tour and online competition. On Friday, the participants battle in a rapid round-robin stage with a 10+5 time control.
