Starting Sunday: Grand Chess Tour Finals in São Paulo

The Grand Chess Tour Finals return in 2025, taking place at the World Trade Center in São Paulo from 28 September to 3 October. For the first time since 2019, the season will conclude with knockout matches. The event will feature Maxime Vachier-LaGrave, Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Fabiano Caruana and Levon Aronian. Marking the Tour’s tenth anniversary, the Finals form part of a $1.6 million prize fund, with $350,000 at stake in South America’s first GCT event.
