Italian organiser Claudio Selleri captures the vibrant spirit of the 2024 World Cadet Chess Championship, where 710 young players from 77 nations competed across six categories. Unlike the reserved atmosphere of other tournaments, this event brimmed with joyful spontaneity, blending serious gameplay with infectious enthusiasm. Organised by GM Roberto Mogranzini and Unichess, it boasted world-class facilities, interactive side events and a dazzling venue enriched by giant chess pieces and cultural flair.
