Four out of the eight players who reached the quarterfinals in the open section of the FIDE World Cup are Indian, as Vidit Gujrathi joined Praggnanandhaa, Arjun and Gukesh by beating Ian Nepomniachtchi in the tiebreaks of the round-of-16.
